Glen Rovers have won the Cork Senior Hurling Championship for the 28th time, ending a 10-year wait for county glory. As reported by the Irish Examiner, RTÉ and The 42, the victory came three years after the club lost its top-flight status. [1][2][3]

The match was decided by Glen Rovers corner-forward Eoin O'Leary, who scored two goals and two points. According to the Irish Examiner, the 22-year-old entered the final as the team's top scorer from play and secured the victory against their fiercest rivals, St Finbarr's. [1][3]

The Irish Examiner reported that the win prevented a fifth consecutive final defeat against St Finbarr's. Silverware will be brought back across the Christy Ring bridge as celebrations begin in Blackpool. [1]

Glen Rovers Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Blackpool, Cork. It is affiliated to the Seandún Board and the Cork County Board, and operates as a sister club to St Nicholas' Gaelic Football Club. [5]
