Former prison guard Jade Gittins appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Thursday charged with misconduct in a public office, the Daily Mail reported. The 36-year-old allegedly engaged in an illicit romance with an unnamed inmate while working at HMP Holme House. The facility is a category C men's prison located in Stockton-on-Tees. [1]

According to the Daily Mail, Gittins is accused of giving the prisoner her personal phone number, bringing him gifts, and discussing the duty schedules of fellow prison officers. Her fiancé accompanied her to the court hearing. [1]

The English word female entered the language in the early 14th century from the Old French word femelle. In biological terms, an organism is female if it produces ova, which fuse with male gametes during sexual reproduction. [2][3]

In separate criminal cases involving male federal prisoners, FTMQ News reported earlier that former gymnastics coach Sean Gardner received a 90-year sentence in Mississippi for child pornography production. Additionally, FTMQ News previously reported that Sean Combs was hospitalized in October 2026 after a reported fight at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. [4][5]
