The former head of the Pentagon's UFO investigation office has disputed a report of a mysterious black triangular object seen by FBI personnel. Fox News reported that Sean Kirkpatrick said the newly released account lacks the necessary evidence to determine what the witnesses observed. [1]

Kirkpatrick previously served as the director of the Pentagon's All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which is also known as AARO. Fox News reported that he described relying on the credibility of the witnesses as a classic authority bias. [1]

According to Fox News, Kirkpatrick stated that strange sightings found in recently declassified government records must be evaluated through an evidence-based lens instead of being treated as proof of extraterrestrial activity. The records include a sighting detailed in declassified files. [1]

ABC News reported that the Pentagon released declassified UFO files gathered from various federal agencies. Luis Elizondo is an author, media personality, and UFO disclosure activist who formerly worked for the United States Department of Defense. [2][3]
