Mass shooting near Indiana University campus leaves at least seven injured

At least seven people were injured early Sunday morning in a mass shooting near the Indiana University campus in Bloomington. The New York Post, WTHR, and Yahoo all report that seven people were taken to hospitals following the gunfire, which occurred during the university's homecoming weekend. [1][2][3]

Bloomington Deputy Chief of Police Ryan Pedigo said officers heard multiple gunshots amid a large crowd at around 1:30 a.m. Officers then saw a man holding a gun running away from the scene. WTHR reported that a fight broke out in the crowd immediately before the shooting began. [1][2]

According to Deputy Chief Pedigo, no deaths have been reported. The medical conditions of the victims remain unknown while police work to determine if additional people were injured in the incident. [1]
