Former childcare worker Ashley Paul Griffith has been hit with 202 additional child abuse charges, according to reports by The Guardian, UA.NEWS, Oz Arab Media, and cedarnews.net. Nine.com.au reported that he was charged with 200 offences. The charges were laid after he was extradited from Queensland to New South Wales, The Guardian reported. [1][2][3][4][5]
The allegations date from between 2014 and 2017, according to The Guardian. New South Wales police stated that the charges include child rape and involve 23 alleged victims aged between one and five years old. The offences allegedly occurred while Griffith was working at a childcare centre in the inner west of Sydney. [1]
Police described the allegations against Griffith as deeply disturbing, The Guardian reported. He is considered one of the most notorious paedophiles in Australia. [1]
