Enes Kanter Freedom makes new NBA claims following WNBA incident

Former basketball player Enes Kanter Freedom has issued new allegations regarding the culture of the National Basketball Association, Fox News reported on October 23. The statements came one day after an encounter with police at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, where the WNBA attempted to move Freedom from his purchased courtside seat to a private luxury suite during Game 3 of the WNBA Finals, causing him to leave the venue. Fox News reported that Freedom alleged Dennis Schroder questioned the motives behind the activism of LeBron James. Freedom also stated that his former Boston Celtics teammates shunned him for appearing on Fox News, and he issued a warning to the WNBA over its gender eligibility policy. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Freedom previously received death threats after declaring for the WNBA draft in August 2026 to protest its gender criteria. Freedom, who played 11 seasons in the NBA across six teams after being selected third overall in the 2011 draft, legally added Freedom to his name upon becoming a United States citizen in 2021. The allegations come as LeBron James started his tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers. The BBC, the Daily Mail, and CBS Sports reported that James played in a season-opening 106-100 win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday, where he recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. The Daily Mail added that the 76ers secured a comeback victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers in his home debut. [2][3][4]
