President Donald Trump hosted a New Golden Age Summit supporting scientific and technological advancements in the United States on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The Washington Examiner, TradingView, and Fox Business reported on the summit, which Fox Business and NTD News called the Golden Age of American Innovation Summit. TradingView reported that the event took place at the Institute for Peace. [1][5][6][8]

During the event, President Trump planned to present the National Medal of Science to Tesla chief executive Elon Musk alongside several other technology executives, according to the Washington Examiner. BigGo Finance also reported that Trump scheduled the presentation of National Medals to Musk and Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang at the summit. [1][7]

The summit included a focus on a White House accord regarding super intelligence between Trump and technology industry leaders, the Washington Examiner reported. The Verge noted that the White House event scheduled participation for multiple tech executives. The Washington Post reported that the innovation event took place alongside research funding cuts and a exodus of researchers. [1][2][3]
