President Donald Trump has launched a campaign rally tour ahead of the United States midterm elections, claiming that his daily events are helping Republicans win close races. The Independent and Al Jazeera both reported that Trump is undertaking a rally blitz across several states, expressing confidence that his party can defy polling numbers ahead of Election Day. [1][7][10]

During his campaign stops, Trump held a rally in Vandalia, Ohio, to support Republican candidates, according to the Daily Signal. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Ohio event targeted a critical Senate race involving Republican Jon Husted and former Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown. Fox News reported that Trump also held a rally in Nebraska to boost Republican candidates in the state. [4][5][13]

To address voter concerns over rising fuel costs, France 24 reported that Trump signed an executive order easing limits on tax free red dyed diesel. Trump stated the policy would save farmers millions of dollars, although financial analysts noted the change might not benefit farmers who already use the fuel. [2][3]

Public opinion polling from Reuters and Ipsos shows Trump approval ratings reaching a record low, with Hispanic voters souring on the Republican party. The Wrap reported that Trump recently criticized Fox News on social media, accusing the network of giving too much airtime to Democrats instead of Republican candidates. [6][8]
