Republican Senator Darline Graham is campaigning in a tight race to retain her United States Senate seat in South Carolina, CNN reported on October 27, 2026. CNN reporter Manu Raju spoke with the senator on the campaign trail during the close contest. [1]

The New York Times reported that a super PAC tied to the data center industry has launched its first financial support effort for Senator Graham as political battles around artificial intelligence grow. The publication added that former governors have provided a rare bipartisan endorsement to her opponent, Annie Andrews, while Newsweek reported that Andrews has gained additional support from Republicans in her bid to defeat the incumbent senator. [3][7][11]

The Hill reported that former President Donald Trump plans to return to South Carolina shortly before the election. Meanwhile, Raw Story reported on claims alleging that the Republican Party has been hiding Senator Graham during the final stretch of the campaign, and WPDE reported that both candidates have traded televised attacks in recent campaign advertisements. [8][9][10]

Graham serves as the junior United States senator from South Carolina, a seat she has held since July 14, 2026. She was appointed to fill the seat following the death of her brother, Lindsey Graham, making her the first woman to represent the state in the United States Senate. [12]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Graham is facing Democratic challenger Annie Andrews in the general election scheduled for November 3, 2026. [16]
