Edward Brown, aged 27, pleaded not guilty to charges connected to an alleged rape inside a Massachusetts State Police barracks on Martha's Vineyard, Fox News reported. Prosecutors said Mr Brown met the victim, a woman visiting from Ireland, at a bar called The Ritz in Oak Bluffs before the attack took place on August 15. [1]
Fox News reported that police officers found the woman naked on the side of the road outside the police barracks. Prosecutors stated during the court arraignment that Mr Brown was visiting a state trooper friend from college and was staying as a guest at the facility. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, Mr Brown works as an assistant director of security for Boston Public Schools. Cape and Islands Assistant District Attorney Courtney Scalice said the woman fled down two flights of stairs and was discovered screaming on the street. [1][6]
