At least two people were killed in a fire in Kyiv on Wednesday after massive strikes hit the Ukrainian capital, France 24 reported. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that a missile attack killed two people, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the assault as massive strikes. [1]

France 24 reported that Ukraine has faced an increased number of attacks in recent weeks. Russian strikes have repeatedly targeted critical energy infrastructure alongside rail and road transport networks across the country. [1]

Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine and is home to approximately 2,950,000 residents. The city has been frequently targeted by the Russian Armed Forces during the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war. [2]

The latest strike follows heightened military activity in both nations. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Russian air attacks damaged the Northern Bridge in Kyiv on October 3, while a major Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow region killed two people on October 6. [4][5]
