Abbeydorney secured a place in the Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship semi-final, Radio Kerry reported. The club will face St Marys of Tipperary in the next round of the tournament after overcoming Waterford champions Clashmore Kinsalebeg. [1]

Radio Kerry reported that Michael O'Leary scored Abbeydorney's opening goal after nine minutes. Abbeydorney led 1-7 to 0-7 at half-time. Clashmore Kinsalebeg responded strongly in the second half, scoring 1-6 in the first 20 minutes while Abbeydorney managed only one point. [1]

Abbeydorney narrowed the deficit after 52 minutes when Michael Slattery scored their second goal, bringing the score to 2-8 to 1-13 in favour of Clashmore Kinsalebeg, according to Radio Kerry. Trailing by a single score entering stoppage time, O'Leary scored with the last puck of the game to tie the match at 2-11 to 1-14 and force extra time. [1]

The victory follows other recent results in Munster GAA competitions. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Inagh-Kilnamona defeated Glen Rovers by 1-21 to 1-14 at Páirc Uí Rinn to advance to the Munster Club Senior Hurling Championship semi-final against Thurles Sarsfields. [5]
