The New York Post reported that a radical group known as the Anti-Imperialist Front USA hosted an Anti-Imperialist Summer Camp in the Pacific Northwest in late August. Materials provided to the outlet by education watchdog group the North American Values Institute showed that teenagers and young adults were trained on Maoist tactics. [1]
According to the New York Post, the camp was attended by teenagers from an offshoot group called Revolutionary Youth, as well as community college students and young workers. Images from the event depicted nearly 20 attendees wearing hoodies and bandanas while gathering around a fire, waving flags, and learning revolutionary strategies. [1]
Left-wing politics generally encompass ideologies aimed at achieving social equality and egalitarianism. Far-left political violence, often referred to as left-wing terrorism, is intended to overthrow capitalist systems and establish communist, Marxist, anarchist, or socialist societies. [3][4]
The ideological framework behind campism involves the belief that the world is divided into competing geopolitical blocs. Adherents support a specific group of nations or political factions based on shared ideological goals, such as anti-imperialism or socialism, rather than national identity. [2]
