Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly accused United States President Donald Trump of betrayal after access to vital satellite internet services was restricted. The Washington Examiner and the Daily Express both report that Ukrainian forces faced disruptions to the satellite network, which supports defensive infrastructure and weaponry across the country. According to the Daily Express, Zelensky claimed that Trump and his ally Elon Musk deliberately blocked Starlink access overnight, causing operational slowdowns for the Ukrainian military. [1][2]

The allegations follow growing friction over a new trade agreement between Washington and Moscow. The New York Post reported that Zelensky criticized Trump during an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored for agreeing to import diesel fuel from Russia. Zelensky warned that Trump had chosen the wrong side and handed Russian President Vladimir Putin an easy victory. CNN and the Telegraph also reported that Zelensky expressed feeling betrayed by Trump over the Russian fuel deal. [3][4][6][10]

Amid the disruption to satellite services, Ukrainian forces launched a major strike against a Russian military facility. According to the Daily Express, Ukraine carried out a massive attack on the Borisoglebsk airfield located in Voronezh Oblast. [2]

Tensions between the two leaders have escalated rapidly in recent days. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Trump previously called for new elections to replace Zelensky, while Zelensky insisted that elections would require a full 60 day ceasefire. UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham hosted Zelensky in London this week to reaffirm British backing, as BBC News and the New York Times reported that Burnham pledged to support Ukraine while balancing relations with Washington.
