The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 on Saturday night after scoring four unanswered goals in the third period. According to Yahoo Sports, forward Liam Ohgren played in his 100th career game in the National Hockey League during the victory. Ohgren scored one goal and provided an assist on the winning goal scored by defenseman Elias Pettersson. [1]

Merilainen is a Finnish goaltender who was chosen 71st overall by the Ottawa Senators in the third round of the 2020 draft. He made his North American professional debut in April 2023 after playing with Oulun Karpat in the Finnish Liiga and the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League. [8]
