Two women died on Friday following a midair collision during a skydiving jump in Southern California, the New York Post and TMZ both report. The victims were identified as 56 year old Georgia Jean of South Dakota and 29 year old Levi Pimentel of Illinois. [1][3]

The New York Post reported that the two women knew each other prior to the fatal jump. Their parachutes became tangled during the flight near Lake Elsinore, causing both skydivers to crash to the ground. [1]

According to the New York Post, Jean was a self-described mystic and former comedian. In a blog post written in 2015, she described failing her initial skydiving training level three times before an instructor advised her that she could not skydive. [1]
