The fourth season of the mob drama Tulsa King premiered on Paramount+ on Friday night, featuring the apparent deaths of two long-time characters. UPI and The Lufkin Daily News reported that the first episode ends with Oklahoma Governor Cal Thresher, played by Neal McDonough, unconscious on a private plane alongside his adviser Margaret Devereaux, portrayed by Dana Delany. The pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft also lose consciousness before the episode concludes. [1][4]
In another storyline in the episode, Joanne Manfredi, played by Annabella Sciorra, wakes up her crime boss brother Dwight Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone, to deliver emotional news. Entertainment Weekly, AOL.com, TV Insider, and IMDb also reported on the premiere twists, with Stallone stating that he wanted the audience's jaws to drop. [1][2][3][5][6]
McDonough is an American actor known for his roles as Lieutenant Lynn Buck Compton in Band of Brothers and Timothy Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America: The First Avenger. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Paramount+ is expanding the franchise with the spin-off series Frisco King, created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Samuel L. Jackson alongside Stallone, which will premiere on December 18, 2026. [8][10]
