Ten man Tottenham Hotspur fought back from a goal down to draw 1-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. Al Jazeera and the Irish Times both reported that Dominic Solanke scored a header in stoppage time to secure a point for the visitors. According to Al Jazeera, the result increased the pressure on Manchester United manager Michael Carrick. [1][2][4][5][6][8][12]

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for Manchester United 17 minutes from time following a cross from Matheus Cunha, the Irish Times and the Guardian reported. The Irish Times noted that Luke Shaw had fed Cunha down the left flank before the goal. Al Jazeera stated that the goal came against the run of play following a dominant performance by Tottenham Hotspur. [1][4][5][6][10]

Tottenham Hotspur were reduced to ten men shortly after the opening goal when Rodrigo Bentancur received a straight red card. The Irish Times reported that Bentancur was sent off for a late challenge on Luke Shaw. Al Jazeera and thejournal.ie both noted that Manchester United failed to make the numerical advantage count before Solanke scored his late equalizer. [1][2][4][6]

The draw moved Tottenham Hotspur off the bottom of the Premier League table, according to Al Jazeera. The Daily Mail had reported before the match that Tottenham Hotspur were rock bottom of the division following a difficult start to their season. [1][4][7]
