A woman who worked at MTV gave evidence from behind a screen on the third day of the trial of Russell Brand at Southwark Crown Court in London, BBC News reported. She alleged that the 51-year-old entertainer went from jovial to a wild-eyed maniac as he attempted to pull her into a toilet, according to BBC News and Variety. [1][9]

The court also heard testimony regarding another alleged incident dating back to 1999 at the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth. According to reports from thejournal.ie, The Guardian, and the Irish Times, a woman testified that Brand forced himself on her in a hotel room after they met at a cabaret show, describing him as turning into a monster during the alleged attack. [4][5][7][10]

BBC News, the Irish Times, and Variety reported that the former stand-up comedian and radio presenter faces seven charges, including three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of indecent assault. The allegations involve six female complainants and span a 10-year period between 1999 and 2009. Brand denies all of the charges against him. [1][6][9][12]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, a jury of eight men and four women alongside one reserve was selected to hear the case in London. The trial continues at Southwark Crown Court. [1][16]
