Russell Brand court trial hears evidence from alleged sexual assault victims

Recorded police interviews and witness testimonies presented at Southwark Crown Court in London detailed allegations against Russell Brand, according to BBC News, the Irish Times, and the Guardian. One complainant stated in police interviews that she did not consent to anal sex with Brand at his house in 2009, BBC News reported. The Guardian reported that another woman testified she could not speak or breathe when Brand allegedly raped her at his London townhouse after picking her out from a crowd at a gig. The Daily Mail added that the alleged victim was a 21-year-old fan brought to his Hampstead home.
