An internal investigation by Reform UK has concluded that the party did not breach electoral law after senior officials were filmed by an undercover journalist, BBC News reported on Wednesday. Officials were recorded discussing a potential way to obtain foreign donations for the political party. [1]

Following the undercover filming, party leader Nigel Farage's senior aide Dan Jukes and head of policy James Orr both stood down pending the outcome of the inquiry. BBC News reported that the internal investigation concluded neither man committed any act that constitutes a breach of the law. [1]

Reform UK is a right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom led by Nigel Farage since June 2024. In the July 2024 general election, the party secured five seats in the House of Commons, including Farage's election in Clacton. [2][3]

While the internal inquiry has finished, the Metropolitan Police is carrying out a separate criminal investigation into Reform UK regarding the allegations, according to BBC News. [1]
