Cork street closures begin for weekend Red Bull motorsport event

Major road closures have begun in Cork city centre ahead of the Red Bull Homerun motorsport event taking place on Saturday. According to the Irish Examiner, Echo Live, Yay Cork, Cork Beo, and SportsNewsIreland, the event will see South Mall transformed into a racing track featuring an Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 car and local drifting driver Conor Shanahan. Traffic restrictions began at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. The Irish Examiner reported that Lapp's Quay, situated between Parnell Bridge and Clontarf Street, alongside Connell Street, will remain closed until noon on Sunday. Further road closures in the city centre will take effect on Saturday to accommodate the event. [1]
