Philadelphia sports teams have struggled throughout October, according to reports from Fox News, Yahoo Sports, and Sporting News. The Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, and Philadelphia Flyers have all suffered significant setbacks without securing a win in the first half of the month, Fox News reported. [1][3][5]

Fox News reported that the Philadelphia Eagles dropped to a 2-2 record after losing 24-20 to the Los Angeles Rams, a game in which the Eagles gave up a 20-10 lead in the fourth quarter. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Eagles also lost 19-17 to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London when Cam Little kicked a 57-yard field goal following a 53-yard kickoff return by Ameer Abdullah. That late defeat led former Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel to criticize head coach Nick Sirianni, as FTMQ News reported earlier. [1][10]

The local sports struggles also include playoff elimination for the Philadelphia Phillies and a winless start to the season for the Philadelphia Flyers, according to Fox News and Sporting News. Following a Flyers defeat, the Carolina Hurricanes social media team trolled Philadelphia sports teams online, Heavy.com and 6abc Philadelphia reported. The New York Times reported that the Flyers are scheduled to play the Seattle Kraken on October 13. [1][2][4][5][6]

The Philadelphia Eagles were established in 1933 and compete in the National Football Conference East division of the National Football League. The team plays home games at Lincoln Financial Field inside the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. [7]
