NASA Astronaut Christina Koch to Attend NFL Game in Philadelphia

NASA reported that astronaut Christina Koch will join fans at the Philadelphia Eagles football game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, October 4. The appearance is part of the space agency's ongoing Inspiration Tour, which aims to highlight American strengths in aeronautics innovation and space exploration. NASA noted that Koch is a self-proclaimed fan of Philadelphia sports teams. [1][2]

According to NASA, Koch has spent a total of 338 days in space across two space missions. She served as a mission specialist on the Artemis II mission, which launched earlier in 2026. While stationed on the International Space Station from 2019 to 2020, she participated in the first all-female spacewalk and set the record for the longest spaceflight by a woman. [1][3]

During the Artemis II lunar flyby mission in April 2026, Koch became the only woman to travel beyond low Earth orbit and around the Moon. The Artemis II flight also set the record for human distance from Earth. Koch is an engineer and astronaut who previously completed extensive work aboard the International Space Station. [3]
