New Jersey mayor physically restrained after charging resident at council meeting

Pemberton Township Mayor Matthew Bianchini charged toward a resident during a township council meeting on Wednesday night, Fox News reported. Several people intervened and physically pulled the Republican mayor away as he rushed toward the man. Dramatic video recorded during the chaotic meeting captured the entire altercation. [1]

During the confrontation, Mayor Bianchini shouted, "I'm getting you," at the resident, Fox News reported. Local station WPVI-TV identified the resident as Michael Sawka. Sawka is known as a vocal critic of the mayor. [1]

New Jersey is located in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States, bordered by New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and the Atlantic Ocean. The state capital is Trenton, and its largest city is Newark. [2][3]

Local government meetings across the country have faced unusual disruptions in recent weeks. As FTMQ News reported earlier, a former council member delivered a Satanic prayer at a city council meeting in Ottumwa, Iowa. [4]
