Former basketball player Charles Barkley announced during an appearance on SiriusXM that he plans to retire from television soon. Fox News and Awful Announcing reported that Barkley pledged his departure will focus on gratitude rather than criticizing people on his way out. [1][4]

Barkley directly targeted professional football player Aaron Rodgers during the interview. According to Fox News and Awful Announcing, Barkley stated that he is not going to bury everybody going out the door or burn every bridge like the quarterback. [1][4]

Barkley played 16 seasons in the National Basketball Association and was named an 11-time NBA All-Star as well as the 1993 Most Valuable Player. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006 and works as a television analyst on TNT Sports and CBS Sports. [1][7][9]

Rodgers is a four-time National Football League Most Valuable Player who won Super Bowl XLV with the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported that Rodgers reunited earlier this year with his family following a near-decade-long estrangement, though sources indicate tension remains among the siblings. [2][8][10]
