Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised United States President Donald Trump during an interview on Life, Liberty & Levin, Fox News reported. Netanyahu highlighted Trump's wicked sense of humor and described a bond built on shared security concerns ahead of the Israeli election scheduled for October 27. [1][15]

Netanyahu told television host Mark Levin that his partnership with Trump could continue to bring security if he wins the upcoming vote. The Israeli leader noted that he recognizes Trump is the president of the United States and acts in accordance with what he believes is necessary. [1]

The remarks come as Israel prepares for its general election on October 27, where no political party is projected to secure the 61 seats required for a majority in the 120-seat Knesset, as FTMQ News reported earlier. [1][15]

Separate reports from The Times of Israel and The Times of India noted that when asked whether he trusts Netanyahu ahead of the Israeli polls, Trump stated that in politics he does not trust anybody. [11][12]
