A masked teenager has been found guilty of attempted murder after stabbing a 15-year-old girl at his school near Norwich, BBC News reported. Armed police officers were called to Thorpe St Andrew School on Wednesday 11 March following reports that the girl had been stabbed in the back. [1]

The trial at King's Lynn Crown Court heard that the attacker brought a knife to school while dressed in black and wearing a face mask. According to BBC News, he had also written notes stating that he hated women. [1]

The incident caused the school to go into lockdown, while parents gathered outside the gates waiting for news about their children. The defendant, who is 16 years old and cannot be named because of legal reasons, was convicted by a majority verdict after jurors deliberated for three hours and 54 minutes during the two-week trial. The teenager is scheduled to be sentenced on 18 December, BBC News reported. [1]
