A man has admitted in court to raping a woman who was drugged by her husband without her knowledge over a period of 20 years. According to BBC News, 74-year-old Graham Brougham changed his plea to guilty at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court as the victim watched from the public gallery. [1][2]
BBC News reported that Brougham is the oldest of 13 men charged with sexual offences against the woman. The charges follow allegations that her husband invited the men into the family home in the Stockport area of Greater Manchester to abuse her. [1]
The victim's husband, who is in his sixties, has already admitted 62 offences against his wife, including rape. BBC News said he has provided a witness statement detailing the events. As FTMQ News reported earlier, other men have also entered guilty pleas in connection with the case, including Sean Peers, who previously admitted to assault by penetration at the same court for an attack that occurred at the Stockport home in September 2024.
