American rapper Macklemore has announced a London concert at Wembley Arena on October 30 to benefit Palestinian causes, the Daily Mail reported. Concerns have been raised because one selected beneficiary is Palestinian Youth Movement Britain. The group previously claimed that the taking of hostages by Hamas on October 7 was legitimate, and it has called for a siege on Labour members of Parliament regarding their position on Gaza. [1]

The concert comes after Macklemore was removed from Ed Sheeran's tour last month following pro-Palestine comments he made on stage, according to the Daily Mail. Alongside the concert in London, Macklemore announced upcoming performances in Paris and Dublin. [1]

Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, is a native of Seattle, Washington, who began his career as an independent artist in 2000. Wembley Arena is an indoor facility in Greater London with 12,500 seats. [2][4]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, venue owner Robert Kraft had previously urged for Macklemore to be removed from Ed Sheeran's tour over his pro-Palestinian statements. [6]
