The Public Interest Legal Foundation filed an election complaint in Maine alleging that thousands of dead people and duplicate registrations remain on the state voter rolls. Fox News reported that the conservative legal group submitted the complaint days before the upcoming midterm elections. [1]

The legal group identified 3,181 potentially dead voters and 693 duplicate registrations on the rolls. According to Fox News, the group urged Maine officials to take action as residents prepare to vote. J. Christian Adams told the outlet that problems exist on the lists because officials were hiding them. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, legal battles over voter rolls have emerged in federal courts ahead of the November midterms. US District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan previously ruled that the Justice Department could not force states to supply voter rolls to check citizenship status using federal immigration databases. [4]

The allegations in Maine come as voters prepare to cast their ballots in the pivotal midterm elections on Tuesday. [1]
