LSU head coach Lane Kiffin raised concerns over officiating following his team's 35-34 overtime loss at Kentucky on Saturday. Fox News reported that Kiffin claimed a line judge admitted he would have been killed if he blew the whistle on a controversial touchdown by Kentucky right before half-time. NOLA.com also reported that Kiffin said officials decided there was too much at stake to blow the play dead. [1][7]

The game was decided in overtime after Kentucky successfully completed a two-point conversion to win by one point. CBS Sports reported that Kentucky head coach Will Stein opted to go for the win, marking his second victory over a top-10 team this season. [1][2]

Following the victory, thousands of students stormed the field at Kroger Field to celebrate. CBS Sports reported that the Southeastern Conference fined Kentucky $500,000 for violating the league policy on access to the competition area. The fine money is to be paid directly to LSU. [2]

The win boosted Kentucky from being unranked to No. 15 in the Associated Press poll released on Sunday. CBS Sports and the Daily Mail both reported that Georgia moved up to No. 1 in the rankings, while LSU faced its second loss in Kiffin's first six games as head coach. [2][3][4]
