Seventeen-year-old equestrian rider Tinks Walker was left injured and her elite gelding Benny was killed after a car collided with them on a country lane in the Cotswolds. The Daily Mail reported that Walker went headfirst through the car windscreen during the collision and regained consciousness to find her horse dying in the road. [1]

The crash shattered Walker's plans to seek selection for Great Britain in the Eventing European Championships for Young Riders next year. Her family is now seeking justice following a decision by Wiltshire Police not to pursue action. [1]
