The Daily Show host Jon Stewart made a surprise cameo on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday, according to The Wrap. Stewart emerged from an onstage manhole during the monologue of host Jimmy Kimmel. The broadcast marked the conclusion of a week of shows taped in Brooklyn. [1]

The Wrap reported that Stewart appeared in costume as an urban sewer scavenger wearing a headlamp and a face covering. The performance made light of recent news stories regarding people exploring the sewers of New York City. Stewart joked that life in the sewer was quiet and featured cheaper rent than Brooklyn. [1]

During the appearance, Stewart joked that former mayor Rudolph Giuliani lives in the sewers. Giuliani served as the mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Jimmy Kimmel Live recently featured musician Paul McCartney on an episode. [1][3][6]

Stewart hosted The Daily Show on Comedy Central from 1999 to 2015 before returning as a host part time in 2024. He has received 25 Primetime Emmy Awards during his career. Jimmy Kimmel Live originally debuted on ABC in January 2003 and usually tapes in Hollywood, California. [4][5]
