Television co-host Sunny Hostin predicted on Thursday that Texas voters will flip the state blue in November, as reported by the New York Post and Fox News. The discussion centered on the United States Senate election between Democratic candidate James Talarico and Republican nominee Ken Paxton. [1][2][14]

According to the New York Post and Fox News, Hostin cited September polling data showing Talarico leading Paxton by 51 percent to 45 percent. The reporting noted that Talarico leads Paxton among women by 56 percent to 40 percent, among voters aged 18 to 29 by 66 percent to 22 percent, and among Hispanic voters by 62 percent to 30 percent. Talk show co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro expressed doubt about the positive polling numbers, the New York Post said. [1][2]

Republicans have targeted Talarico over his recent absence from the campaign trail. According to reports from washingtonexaminer.com and NBC News, Paxton posted missing person flyers across Texas, including near Texas A and M University, Fort Worth, and Dallas. NBC News reported that Talarico was off the trail for 12 days after falling ill with the flu. [4][5][7][17]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Paxton had previously warned donors about a spending gap between his campaign and Talarico. Fox Business and NBC News reported that Donald Trump held a rally in Texas, where he warned voters against electing Talarico and urged a debate between the candidates. [5][6][7][11][16]
