The father of a 21-year-old woman who died after going to a hospital for a broken ankle is suing the medical institution for medical malpractice, the Daily Mail reported, citing the Hartford Courant. Lindsay Martin filed the legal action following the death of his daughter, Dale Alice Martin, last year. [1]

According to the lawsuit, Dale Alice Martin was admitted to Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut to treat a broken ankle. She died 14 hours after seeking treatment at the facility. [1]

The lawsuit was filed by attorney Christopher Mattei of the law firm Koskoff, Koskoff and Bieder. The court filing states that healthcare providers at Waterbury Hospital administered excessive pain medication to the patient, causing her to stop breathing and subsequently die. [1]
