SpaceX founder Elon Musk has targeted Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani over ongoing delays to Starlink entering the country, Al Jazeera, CNBC, and BBC News reported. Musk questioned whether Ambani was the real boss of India after blaming powerful business interests for stalling the launch of the satellite internet service. [1][2][3]

Musk claimed that Starlink has not received final approval to operate in India despite spending five years complying with every law and requirement set by the government, CNBC reported. Ambani owns the Reliance conglomerate, which operates India's largest mobile network, Jio, BBC News added. [2][3]

India has rejected the claims, stating that its satellite communications rules are fair and non-discriminatory, according to BBC News. Ambani and the Reliance Group have not publicly responded to the statements. [3]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Musk previously accused Indian telecommunications companies of attempting to block Starlink broadband from entering the market. Beyond the commercial dispute, analysts told the South China Morning Post that the friction highlights broader security concerns, regulatory hurdles, and strategic issues across Asia. [6][15]
