Alleged crime gang leader Daniel Kinahan appeared before the Special Criminal Court in Dublin on Monday, where his legal team confirmed that he will apply for bail in the coming weeks. The Irish Examiner, the Irish Times and RTÉ all reported that the 49-year-old will seek to be released on bail. [1][2][4]
Mr Kinahan faces a single charge of directing the activities of a criminal organisation between October 18, 2015, and April 6, 2017. The Irish Examiner reported that he wore a grey suit, black shirt and glasses during the brief hearing and did not speak. [1][2][4][5]
The Irish Examiner reported that the book of evidence will take a number of weeks to prepare. The Irish Times added that Mr Kinahan will seek disclosure of files from two foreign investigations. According to the Irish Examiner, Mr Kinahan was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court again on December 21. [1][2]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, he was arrested in the United Arab Emirates on April 15 and extradited to Ireland on July 9.
