Convicted Florida rapper Ace Nh asks judge to sentence him to death

Billy Adams III, a 28-year-old rapper who performs as Ace Nh, has requested that a Florida judge impose the death penalty on him for the 2023 murder of his pregnant girlfriend, the New York Post reported. Adams wrote a handwritten letter on Oct. 12 to Tampa Circuit Judge Mark Wolfe, asking him to comply with a jury recommendation to sentence him to death at his next hearing in December. [1]

According to the New York Post citing WTSP-TV, Adams gunned down 22-year-old Alana Sims in 2023 while she was on her way to celebrate his acquittal in a separate double-murder case. Sims was pregnant at the time of her death, and the unborn child also died. Adams stated that he killed Sims because he was not ready to be a father, though testing later revealed the unborn child was not his. [1]

The convicted rapper told the presiding judge that he does not have an issue with the death penalty, the New York Post reported. His request comes ahead of his formal sentencing hearing scheduled for December. [1]
