Back to the Future co-writer and producer Bob Gale has released a new book titled Back to the Future: The Complete Screenplay, UPI reported on October 23. The publication is available now in Collector's and signed Limited Editions. UPI reported that the book offers more than just the script to the original 1985 movie by including photos, stories, and handwritten production notes. [1]

In an interview with UPI, the 75-year-old filmmaker explained that he was frustrated that many published screenplays are basically transcripts of the movie. UPI and Yahoo both reported that the new release shares details on earlier script drafts that Gale revised alongside director Robert Zemeckis, as well as stories regarding actor Eric Stoltz. [1][3]

Stoltz is an American actor who starred in films such as Mask and Pulp Fiction. Separately, actor Lea Thompson stated that her shots with Eric Stoltz remain in the final cut of Back to the Future, according to Parade Magazine. [4][7]

The release coincides with recent franchise news involving the cast of the 1985 film. According to the Daily Mail, 65-year-old actor Michael J. Fox reunited this week with co-star Christopher Lloyd to celebrate Lloyd's 88th birthday. [2]
