Universal Studios Hollywood announced its seasonal holiday offerings on Thursday, according to UPI and Parade Magazine. The theme park event, named Holidays at Universal Studios, will begin on November 21 and run through January 3. [1][2]
UPI reported that the festivities at Universal Plaza will feature the Grinch with a 65-foot tree. The tree will be lit each night alongside artificial snowfall occurring several times per evening. Cindy-Lou will read Dr. Seuss's book How the Grinch Stole Christmas live, and The Fah-Who 4 As will offer musical performances. Visitors can also take photographs with the Grinch and his dog Max. [1]
Illumination's Minion Land will be transformed into Merry Minions for the seasonal period, UPI reported. The Minions will wear holiday outfits for photo opportunities and decorate the area of the park. [1]
Dr. Seuss's 1957 children's book How the Grinch Stole Christmas was previously adapted into a feature film in 2000 that starred Jim Carrey as the misanthropic creature living on Mount Crumpit.
