Two men wanted for slashing an off-duty New York City Police Department detective during a botched robbery in the Bronx have been arrested in Massachusetts, the New York Post reported. D’Angelo Caraballo, 25, and Sneider Mejia, 24, were taken into custody overnight by the US Marshals Service. [1]

According to the New York Post, the US Marshals Service found both suspects hiding in the basement of a home in Lynn, Massachusetts. The NYPD stated that Caraballo and Mejia are both from the Dominican Republic and had a history of prior arrests in New York City. [1]

The NYPD said both men will be extradited back to New York City to face charges of attempted murder for their involvement in the Bronx attack. [1]
