Roughly 100 demonstrators gathered at Lincoln's Inn Fields in London shortly before midday on Wednesday to hold a pro-Palestinian demonstration, the Daily Mail reported. The Metropolitan Police stated that the spontaneous protest in Camden involved individuals allegedly chanting slogans calling for an intifada, according to the same outlet. The gathering took place on the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks in Israel. [1]

Prior to the rally, the Metropolitan Police urged student groups to change the date of the protest, LBC, Sky News, and GB News reported. Metropolitan Police officials said they were powerless to ban the march outright, according to GB News and Sky News. LBC noted that authorities imposed a ban on face masks for those attending the demonstration. [2][4][12]

The demonstration coincided with commemorations marking three years since the 2023 assault on Israel. Euronews reported that a group representing bereaved families organised a moment of silence at 6:29am, marking the minute the original attack began, alongside a planned evening ceremony in Tel Aviv.
