A San Francisco house connected to a 2018 murder has been put up for auction, the New York Post reported. The property located at Clara and Fifth streets in the South of Market neighborhood has received a current bid of 925,000 dollars. It is expected to sell for between 1 million dollars and 1.5 million dollars. [1]

The homeowner, Brian Egg, vanished before his torso was found inside a fish tank in the residence in 2018. The New York Post reported that the 3,600-square-foot property has remained boarded up and mostly vacant since his death. [1]

The abandoned home became a frequent target for squatters. ABC7 reported that neighboring residents lodged more than 100 formal complaints with city officials concerning the condition of the house. [1]

California became the 31st state of the United States on September 9, 1850, following the discovery of gold in 1848. The state holds the largest agricultural output in the country. [3]
