Patricia Krentcil claims ICE agents stopped her over deep tan

Patricia Krentcil, known publicly as Tan Mom, claims federal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents nearly handcuffed her and questioned her citizenship. Fox News and the New York Post report that Krentcil said the agents stopped her because of her extremely deep tan. [1][2][3]

According to reports by Fox News and the New York Post, Krentcil made the claims during an appearance on a podcast with actor Tom Arnold. She stated that the agents confronted her as she was leaving a restaurant with a group of female friends. The New York Post notes that Krentcil called the agents racist and said they targeted her simply because her skin is so dark, though she did not specify the date or location of the incident. [1][2]

Krentcil previously gained media notoriety in 2012 when she was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly bringing her five-year-old daughter into a tanning bed, the New York Post reported. [1][2]
