New footage has emerged showing a balaclava-clad gang using crowbars to smash through the front door of a home in London, the Daily Mail reported. The group is linked to more than 50 break-ins across London and the Home Counties. As FTMQ News reported earlier, violent burglary squads have been targeting wealthy neighbourhoods in the region. [1][5]
The Daily Mail reported that the gang has been smashing into up to 15 homes in a single night. The thieves have stolen luxury watches, jewellery, cash, cars, and entire safes. FTMQ News previously reported that doorbell camera footage captured three masked men using crowbars during a break-in at a north London home. [1][5]
The Metropolitan Police force stands accused of failing to tackle the mob, according to the Daily Mail and earlier reports by FTMQ News. The gang has been active since early September. The Daily Mail noted that the group is said to include convicted criminals who were freed from prison under a Labour early release scheme. [1][5]
