A bar in Frenchtown, Montana, announced plans on 12 October 2026 to host a watch party for the upcoming execution of convicted terrorist Nidal Malik Hasan. The Daily Mail reported that Mike's Alcan Bar & Grill invited patrons to watch the live event on 3 December 2026, after officials announced that the execution will be broadcast live to the public. [1]
The 56 year old former Army psychiatrist is set to be executed by a firing squad at the Fort Hood military base in Texas. The Daily Mail reported that Hasan killed 13 people and injured 32 others on 5 November 2009 during a mass shooting at the Texas base. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that the execution would be livestreamed. Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin defended the plan, stating that broadcasting the event carries no elevated risk of radicalization, while Vice President JD Vance expressed doubt that the livestreamed execution will take place as planned. If carried out, it will mark the first United States military execution since 1961. [6][7]
