Federal agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested a Los Angeles man accused of plotting an attack against a local Jewish preschool, the New York Post reported. Federal prosecutors stated that 51-year-old Steven Duenas was arrested on October 2. He is accused of making threats against Jewish people on social media platforms. [1]

According to the New York Post, Duenas allegedly targeted Jems, a Jewish preschool located near his residence in Los Feliz. Prosecutors stated that he planned to carry out a mass incident at the site. On September 19, Duenas posted images on X that displayed what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail. [1]

Federal prosecutors stated that FBI agents found Molotov cocktails inside the home of Duenas. A Molotov cocktail is a hand-thrown incendiary weapon made of a breakable container filled with flammable liquid and fitted with a fuse, which ignites and spreads flames upon shattering. His mother stated to reporters that she could not believe the materials were found in the home. [1][3]
