Leinster fought back from an early 13 point deficit to secure a bonus point victory against Munster in a United Rugby Championship derby at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday. Munster took an initial 13-0 lead before Leinster responded to claim the win, as reported by the Irish Examiner, Irish Times, BBC Sport, and thejournal.ie. [1][2][4][5][6]

Munster opened the scoring with a try from Shane Daly, converted by Charlie O'Shea, who also kicked two penalties, according to the Irish Examiner. Leinster then began their comeback as Tommy O'Brien scored a try, with the Irish Examiner reporting that Clayton McMillan's team were outscored 24-5 across the remainder of the match. [1]

The Irish Times reported that the match was a tetchy contest on a windy night in Ballsbridge. During the first half, Munster number eight Gavin Coombes alleged that his testicles were grabbed in the 38th minute, though an immediate video review proved inconclusive, according to the Irish Times. The Irish Independent noted that Leinster were left awaiting a citing commissioner report following Coombes' allegation of serious foul play. [2][8]

Leinster had won 15 of the previous 18 meetings between the two sides, although Munster won their semi-final match at the Aviva Stadium three seasons ago and defeated Leinster 31-14 at Croke Park last October, according to the Irish Times. [2][3]
