American actor Kevin Bacon has asked his social media followers for help in locating a lost shipment of his personal clothing. According to reports from Fox News, The Independent, and People.com, the 68 year old actor used FedEx to ship a box of sentimental clothing from the 1990s while traveling to work in Ireland, but the delivery company routed the package to Israel instead. [1][2][3][6]

Fox News reported that Bacon wanted to pack light for his trip to Ireland, choosing instead to send his older garments across the Atlantic Ocean. Rather than arriving at its intended destination, the package bounced through multiple countries after being misrouted to Israel. According to Fox News and People.com, Bacon publicly questioned whether he would ever see the items again. [1][3]

Bacon is an award winning actor whose career spans several decades. As noted in background records, he earned a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his lead performance in the 2009 television movie Taking Chance, and he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003. [6][8]

The delivery service FedEx was originally incorporated in June 1971 by Frederick W. Smith, based on a hub and spoke distribution concept he developed while studying at Yale University. Coverage from EVOKE indicates that residents in Ireland have rallied in support of Bacon following the delivery mishap. [4][9]
